While you wait: stop using the affected drain completely — don't flush the toilet again, don't run taps or use the sink, as more water will only make the problem worse. If sewage has entered the property, move anything valuable away from the affected area. Don't pour any chemicals down the drain; they rarely help with a serious blockage and can make the job harder for the engineer.

Once we arrive, we'll assess the situation, clear the blockage or stop the flooding, and explain exactly what caused it. If there's a structural issue behind it — a collapsed or damaged pipe — we'll give you a clear, separate quote for any further repair work. You'll never be pressured into deciding on the spot.
